Allegations of Research Misconduct

The Journal of Intan Nursing takes allegations of research ethics violations seriously and is committed to addressing them in a fair, confidential, and prompt manner.

Research ethics violations may include data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate image manipulation, redundant or duplicate publication, unethical research practices, authorship manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and other serious breaches of research or publication ethics.

Reporting concerns: Alleged violations may be submitted to the editorial office via the Journal of Intan Nursing official contact channels. Reports must include sufficient information and supporting evidence to enable an initial assessment.

Assessment and investigation: The editors will evaluate the allegations and determine the appropriate course of action. The Journal of Intan Nursing may request explanations or supporting documentation from the authors, consult with independent experts, or refer the matter to the relevant institutions or ethics committees if necessary. The Journal of Intan Nursing does not replace the formal investigative authority of the institutions with which the authors are affiliated.

Fairness and confidentiality: All parties will be treated fairly. Information will only be shared with those who require it to assess or investigate the matter, in compliance with applicable legal and ethical requirements. An allegation is not considered a proven violation until a proper assessment has been conducted.

Editorial actions: Depending on the available evidence and the stage of publication, the Journal of Intan Nursing may reject a manuscript, suspend the editorial process, issue a correction or an "expression of concern," retract an article, or take other actions deemed necessary.

The Journal of Intan Nursing prohibits the submission of allegations that are intentionally fabricated (false) or made with malicious intent. The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record while respecting the rights of all involved parties.

Procedure: Issues may be reported to the editorial office by authors, readers, reviewers, or other parties. The editor will evaluate the available evidence, contact the relevant parties if necessary, and provide them with an opportunity to respond. When required, input may be sought from the relevant institutions or independent experts.

Editorial decisions will be made impartially and documented. A retraction notice will explain the reason for the retraction and remain linked to the original article. The journal will generally retain the original article in its archives, accompanied by a clear retraction notice, rather than simply removing it without explanation.

The Journal of Intan Nursing adheres to established publication ethics guidelines and ensures that the processes for correcting and retracting articles are conducted transparently.
