Implementasi Edukasi Pra Khitan bagi Anak dan Orang Tua dalam Mendukung Kesiapan Prosedur Sirkumsisi

Khitan merupakan prosedur medis yang umum dilakukan pada anak laki-laki, namun sering menimbulkan kecemasan baik pada anak maupun orang tua akibat kurangnya pemahaman terkait prosedur yang akan dijalani. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan edukasi pra khitan sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesiapan anak serta orang tua dalam menghadapi prosedur khitan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendidikan masyarakat melalui pendekatan edukatif interaktif berupa penyuluhan, diskusi, dan pemberian leaflet edukasi. Sasaran kegiatan adalah anak yang akan menjalani khitan dan orang tua sebagai pendamping. Evaluasi dilakukan secara deskriptif melalui observasi dan wawancara selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terkait prosedur khitan, metode yang digunakan, serta perawatan pasca tindakan. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan sikap pada anak dari yang awalnya cemas menjadi lebih tenang dan kooperatif. Orang tua juga menunjukkan peningkatan kesiapan dalam mendampingi anak selama proses tindakan dan perawatan. Edukasi pra khitan terbukti memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan psikologis dan pemahaman peserta.
