PENGARUH VIRTUAL REALITY TERHADAP TINGKAT NYERI PADA ANAK DENGAN KANKER : TINJAUAN LITERATUR

Pendahuluan: Virtual reality (VR) merupakan salah satu metoda penggunaan multimedia dalam penanganan nyeri. VR sebagai alternatif teknik distraksi guna menghadirkan pengalaman yang menyenangkan melalui multimedia (visual atau audio) digunakan untuk mengalihkan perhatian anak dengan kanker yang mengalami penyakit kronis. VR dilaporkan dapat menurunkan nyeri yang dialami anak tersebut. Tujuan: Masih sedikit informasi tentang bagaimana VR dapat menurunkan nyeri pada anak, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelusuran literatur secara seksama. Metode: Literatur review telah dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan artikel dari berbagai data-base seperti pubmed, medline, ebsco dan CINAHL dengan kata kunci virtual reality; pediatric; pain management; dan pediatric cancer”. Hasil: Hasil penelusuran menggambarkan kefektifan VR untuk mengurangi respon nyeri pada anak dengan kanker. Kesimpulan: VR dapat membantu dalam menurunkan nyeri selama pengobatan kanker dilakukan. Saran: Peneliti selanjutnya perlu melakukan penelitian terkait jenis dari virtual reality (VR) yang efektif dalam menurunkan nyeri pada anak dengan kanker.
